Houston, We have lift off!

This phrase signifies the successful launch of not only spacecraft leaving Earth's surface but also any project that has surpassed the planning phase. This was the case for Cyberdelia during the first week long Sprint; a portion of the SCRUM model.

Starting from nothing, Rob was able to get a base landing page and the navigation menu done in a short amount of time. Being that we started working together halfway through the week, we had to ensure there was a hustle. Rob was able to create the base page and populate the navigation bar with links to the other pages that will be available during the initial rollout. He was able to finish a Jquery hidden menu that slides in and out of the webpage

One issue that was encountered was that when the Jquery when in and made the menu, the CSS broke somewhere else and put the placeholder boxes from the webpage into the sliding menu. This issue will need to be corrected first before we move any further with the website.

We were also able to make a short video talking about the project, as well as completing project documentation such as the Project Proposal, Project Logic Model, Burndown and Task Completion Chart, and we performed a Retrospective of the project using the Six Thinking Hats method. Snapshots of these items can be seen below, but the full documents can be found under the Documentation page of this website and the retrospective video is located at the following link.

Outside of these objectives research was performed by Jon to locate a suitable forum software solution that included both commercial and open-source products. Depending on the level of funding that can be aquired for this project the commercial product may be the right choice. If funding is unavailable then the open-source solutions will be implemented until enough money can be raised to implement the commercial solution.
